This courtroom utilizes videoconferencing to save expense, and increase security when arraigning defendants. County officials no longer transport inmates to the courtroom, but instead to a videoconferencing room at the jail. The attorneys and audience view monitors along the side of the courtroom.

The judge’s desk features a monitor that doubles as a videoconferencing display and computer monitor. A gooseneck push-to-talk microphone can be muted when desired. An additional PTT mic is located at the witness stand, and ceiling microphones pick up audio from the rest of the room. Proceedings can be recorded for future reference.
